A big welcome to the Nikon ZF enthusiast on this day 1 of Nikon-ZF.com.
A site dedicated to the true retro camera in today's digital world. We hope you enjoy this site and start posting images captured with your camera. Unlike your typical photo site these days, Nikon-ZF.com is mainly gallery focused with discussions centered on photo comments. However, we do have this cool message board that allows us to post anything we ant to talk about without it becoming an overwhelming forum.
Just like the camera being retro, so is our message board. As soon as we start getting images, they start showing up in the gallery. So don't waste time and start posting now! A little backstory here.
As you may or may now know, I started a very popular website called Rangefinderforum over 20 years ago. It was something I was passionate about and felt it would eventually grow in popularity. Fast forward to today, and that website is one of the most popular niche camera sites on the web. Having said that, I have the same feeling about the ZF series cameras. I am so stoked about this camera. I believe the new ZF is a game changer classic in the making camera which the new generation of younger photographers and old timers have been looking for in a camera. Something that is solid, retro, beautiful and fun to shoot with.
With that in mind, if you are a ZF owner or plan on getting one soon ( I am still waiting for my ZF to arrive ), I encourage you to join www.nikon-zf.com which is a brand new site dedicated to this fantastic new camera. That's how passionate I feel about the ZF. A website just for the ZF series camera! The site is new and has no content. So, get in on the first days of Nikon-ZF and become a charter member. Juts like Rangefinderforum did, I feel www.nikon-zf.com will flourish as well with photographers like you providing content.
I have similar feelings about the ZF. For me it brings back the joy of photography again. My other cameras are M11 and Nikon film cameras. I regret getting rid of my MP which I loved. But now, If I shoot film it's on an F3T and an F6 which for me has the perfect metering of any camera ever made. I have the 50mm 1.8 Z for it and love it. Although, I love shooting my manual focus glass on it as well. With those two film cameras and my ZF I feel young again :) Who needs Centrum when you have film nikon cameras and and a ZF" 😄
