Unlike your typical photo site these days, Nikon-ZF.com is mainly gallery focused with discussions centered on photo comments. However, we do have this cool message board that allows us to post anything we ant to talk about without it becoming an overwhelming forum. Just like the camera being retro, so is our message board.
As soon as we starting getting images, they start showing up in the gallery. So don't waste time and start posting now!
A little backstory here.
As you may or may now know, I started a very popular website called Rangefinderforum over 20 years ago. It was something I was passionate about and felt it would eventually grow in popularity. Fast forward to today, and that website is one of the most popular niche camera sites on the web.
Having said that, I have the same feeling about the ZF series cameras. I am so stoked about this camera. I believe the new ZF is a game changer classic in the making camera which the new generation of younger photographers and old timers have been looking for in a camera. Something that is solid, retro, beautiful and fun to shoot with. With that in mind, if you are a ZF owner or plan on getting one soon ( I am still waiting for my ZF to arrive ), I encourage you to join
www.nikon-zf.com which is a brand new site dedicated to this fantastic new camera. That's how passionate I feel about the ZF. A website just for the ZF series camera!
The site is new and has no content. So, get in on the first days of Nikon-ZF and become a charter member. Juts like Rangefinderforum, I feel
www.nikon-zf.com will flourish as well with photographers like you providing content.

Did you know you can access your profile with your username in the URL?

JT wrote: 🕐 10-26-23 09:31You can provide simple links to your profile with nikon-zf.com in the url to make it easy to share on other sites by simply prefixing with your username.
For example
http://jt.nikon-zf.com
will go directly to my profile page.
Do NOT put https in the link as it will not pass the security test and throw a warning. You can use
http which will redirect to https for you.
If you have a dot in your name, then just remove the dot. so a user name with john.doe would just be jondoe
When we have more photos from members, we can have it redirect to the member gallery instead.
In the meantime, feel free to update your bio in the dashboard.

JT wrote: 🕐 10-25-23 15:34As mentioned in other messages or newsletters. This is not really a forum and the messageboard is somewhat retro where we can post whatever we want and search.
Since I wrote this from scratch, without getting to overloaded with features, what do you think of it and what would you like to see different?
Thanks

My experience with the ZF so far has been overwhelming positive. I like the retro ergonomics, the use of manual focus lenses is intuitive and thoroughly enjoyable in my humble opinion. I set the video record button to zoom in and check critical focus when I need to which although not often, is a very useful feature. I have owned a Leica M10, & I can say the files are every bit as nice as what I achieved from that camera. I have a Leica MP permanently loaded with HP5 & the ZF is a brilliant compliment to that. I use a novaflex adapter to mount my M mount lenses on the ZF and I could't be happier with the setup. The ZF came with the 40mm f2 prime which I thought I wouldn't like, but the opposite is true. It's a great little lens, sharp enough, contrasty images that pop and smooth to operate. It would be great if it wasn't all plastic and it had a manual aperture ring, but it's light, fast and handy as an allrounder to have in the bag. The ZF has already endeared itself to me, I think the other camera companies should sit up and take notice. Leica are the only other company making a solid, durable manual centric camera that is an actual joy to shoot with. The Leica cameras come in after a hefty investment which makes the ZF all the more attractive, I think Nikon will find this is a very popular camera for them.
I have similar feelings about the ZF. For me it brings back the joy of photography again. My other cameras are M11 and Nikon film cameras. I regret getting rid of my MP which I loved. But now, If I shoot film it's on an F3T and an F6 which for me has the perfect metering of any camera ever made.
I have the 50mm 1.8 Z for it and love it. Although, I love shooting my manual focus glass on it as well.
With those two film cameras and my ZF I feel young again :) Who needs Centrum when you have film nikon cameras and and a ZF"
